Royals Appoint Fabio Del Rio Pitching Coordinator
Submitted By Matt Mills on Tuesday, September 10, 2019
The Ontario Royals Baseball Club is excited to announce that Fabio Del Rio has been appointed our Program Pitching Coordinator. Coach Del Rio joined the Royals organization last season at the 16U level and helped guide that pitching staff to a fantastic season that ended with a PBLO Championship.

Coach Del Rio, originally from Ottawa and now living in Waterdown, is also a Pitching Coach with the Brock University Badgers in the OUA. Fabio played an integral part in the development of all their pitchers, most notably 2019 Toronto Blue Jays signee, Alex Nolan. That experience — working at the college/university level, and developing pro-level talent — are just two of the many skills Coach Del Rio will bring to the Ontario Royals program.

In his role as Pitching Coordinator, Coach Del Rio will oversee the pitchers’ programs for 15U, 16U, and 18U, while maintaining his day-to-day role as Pitching Coach for the 16U team.

Royals 12-week Pitcher Development Nights begin this Monday, September 23rd at the Royals Indoor Facility.
