The Ontario Royals are excited to congratulate 2022 graduate Weston Thompson, along with parents Winston and Cathy, on his commitment to Antelope Valley College – located in Lancaster, California.
Wes joined our Royals program in the fall of 2020, and has continued to work hard and improve his game over the past two years. The Burlington-native had a stellar first CPBL campaign in 2020/21 and was named to the CPBL All-Star team.
Operating both in the OF and INF in 2021 because of his athleticism, Wes has settled into the infield in 2021/22 with the Royals 18U program, and is excited to play at the next level with AVC.
Thompson was selected to participate in the BTL Fall Collegiate trip that 10 other Royals players took part in, following our Royals / BTL showcase held in September 2021. After gathering some solid interest from schools on and after that trip, Thompson and his family made a visit to AVC to tour the campus, area, and speak to AVC Head Coach Brian Moses. That visit made Thompson’s decision an easy one, and he is not committed to the CCCBA program.
