Organization - Tread Athletics x Ontario Royals
Submitted By Matt Mills on Monday, November 23, 2020
The Ontario Royals are very excited to announce our partnership with Tread Athletics to consult and assist with our player development delivery.

Led by Coan McAlpine and MLB Draft pick (15th round) Ben Brewster, Tread Athletics is a leader in their field, helping to deliver cutting-edge remote training material in terms of baseball programming as well as strength, conditioning and nutrition.

“We have emphasized the importance of this side of our program”, says Royals GM Matt Mills, “and we are excited to take it to the next level for our players.”

Tread has an outstanding track record with their individual athlete and team training programs. They have worked with and developed 800+ high school, college and professional ball players — including 27 MLB Draft picks and 8 big leaguers.

“Coach Mills took an opportunity to reach out to Tread Athletics and discuss his organization’s past, present and his vision for its future,” said Coan McAlpine, CEO of Tread Athletics. “I've always found that the best programs are those that actively choose to evolve, assemble and reassemble. It's obvious the Royals are striving to do just that. They are surrounding themselves with the absolute best pieces to not only attract high-level players, but develop them into their best selves. Tread Athletics is very excited to be a part of this process starting this off-season and for the foreseeable future.”

The Royals continue to invest in our players' development with Tread Athletics as part of our team to deliver the best material available.

“We're excited to be working with the Ontario Royals this off-season in preparation for their upcoming spring,” said McAlpine. “Big things ahead with their individualized evaluations and custom athlete regimens. Always cool to see an organization willing to invest from the top-down in its players!"
